Polymarket adds Chainlink-priced 15-minute gold and silver markets, extending beyond crypto
Polymarket has opened short-duration gold and silver prediction markets that use Chainlink for price data, taking its fast format outside crypto. LINK reportedly rose 4.7% in the same session, though the scope and terms of the arrangement are not confirmed.

According to the reports, the platform now offers quarter-hour up-or-down contracts tied to gold and silver prices. Chainlink serves as the official oracle, supplying prices used to settle outcomes. Chainlink and the release say stock and currency markets are planned next.
Until now the fast-format contracts were limited to crypto. One report says Polymarket's 5- and 15-minute crypto contracts have already generated more than $11 billion in trading volume. Several of the items are only headlines or short summaries, so commercial terms, fee arrangements and the exact scope of the expansion are not disclosed.
CoinMarketCap reported that LINK gained 4.7% in the session when the news appeared. The effect on the token is indirect: if more market categories rely on Chainlink data, oracle usage and demand for related fees could grow. The size of that effect is unknown, and part of the price move may reflect short-term sentiment.
